April and I are thankful to everyone who came out for the Florida Sate Chili Cook Off! Dagmar and Carlos, we couldn't have done it with out you guys! The weather improved and it dried out somewhat. With dark skies overhead and thunder cracking in the distance we gathered to make that one perfect pot of red! By the end of day 1 a new Florida champ was crowned. Dave Ashworth took 1st place. April got 8th in CASI. April took home 1st place in Open and I got 5th.

We all came together and got 1st place in CASI Showmanship and our very first People's Choice Award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We couldn't have spent a better day with some of the greatest cooks from Florida and Texas.
